How I guide a team
Everyone sees something different.
Every contribution matters.
A team needs to find a new way of working together. Each person brings different experiences, ideas and concerns. I facilitate a process that makes room for those perspectives, shares uncertainties and builds a proposal together. No one needs to have all the answers to contribute.

My role
Create the conditions for everyone to contribute, help people listen and connect ideas, and guide the move from conversation to action. The team builds and decides.
Facing fear, together.
The fear of making a mistake, not knowing or having an idea rejected can make someone stay silent. I create space to share uncertainties, ask questions and experiment without demanding a perfect answer at the first attempt.
By listening to other perspectives and agreeing on small steps, the team can gain the confidence to move forward. Everyone has something to add and can also ask for help.
Valuing each person means listening to and considering their contribution. Not every idea will be chosen; the reasons behind the decision should be clear to the team.

The materials help people share ideas. At D4HE, I use exercises and moments of reflection so that everyone can explain what they have created and why.
The aim is to develop a proposal and practise criteria the team can use again.
Before we begin

Do I need to know how to use AI?
No. The use of the tools is adapted to the participants’ level of experience.
Is it only for artists or designers?
No. Creativity also plays a part in education, work, entrepreneurship, communication, problem-solving and social change.
Is it a ChatGPT course?
The Lab develops the creative process through a real challenge. The tools are chosen to suit the experience; the programme is not dedicated to a specific application.
Is AI used in every activity?
There are moments without AI, moments with AI and moments of human + AI collaboration.
Can it take place in a school?
Yes. The context, challenge and experience are adapted to the educational audience.
What can my business work on in the Lab?
Your team can explore solutions to a problem, develop a message with its own voice or practise assessing AI responses. The challenge and the proposal to develop are defined together, with facilitation by Cátia Freitas.
Can it be in person, online or hybrid?
The format can be adapted to the programme and context, where appropriate.
How long does it last?
The duration is defined by the challenge and format. We can design an intensive experience or a process spanning several sessions.
